GEBCO: associated meeting, proposer and year of proposal (en): Associated meeting: SCUFN-36. Proposer: Hydrography and Oceanography Centre, Indonesia Navy (Pushidrosal). History: 2023.     
GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Indonesian Navy Survey Ship "KRI Rigel 933". Year of discovery: 2022. History: Named after La Maddukelleng (1700-1765), a Bugis aristocrat who served as supreme leader of the Wajo region, the Bugis tribe, in the 18th century. He is considered an Indonesian National Hero for succeeding in liberating the Wajo and South Sulewasi regions from Dutch colonialism. He died in South Sulawesi in 1765, and was buried there, in Sengkang.
